Mystic Land Productions was created in 2000 by Benoit Cormier while he was finishing his college degree at Montmorency College (Laval, Qc). The valiant producer specializes in extreme sports such as freestyle skiing, wakeboarding, trapeze, trampoline, rock climbing and dirt biking. His main focus, being skiing, in winter 2002/03 Cormier decided to put all his efforts into the creation of a freestyle ski movie.

The season started in Québec and moved on in Whistler (British Columbia, Canada). He filmed his riders there until the end of the season and then returned to Québec to edit and finish the movie “The Rush”. Once the project completed, he started his 2003/04 ski season once again in Québec, purchased a professional video camera and left for the West Coast. While he was in Whistler, he teamed up with Advance Vision Productions. They combined all of their footage to create a new freestyle ski movie “Assault”. With almost no sponsors, this movie became quite popular in the province of Québec. For the following season the Advance Vision crew teamed up with another company, therefore Cormier branched out on his own and worked with new people on his upcoming project. Assisted by his vice-president, Jean-Alexandre Maheu, also a rider representing Rossignol, Smith Optics, SMS Outerwear, AXIS Boardshop and Orthoconcept, they created this new film: “On’S’Touche”. Helped by there friends and skiers Cormier and Maheu gathered a new crew. They've met new cameramans like Eric Simard from Paralines Productions who quickly became assistant director for MLP. The project slowly became bigger, Simard was covering the eastern part of Canada while Cormier was filming on the West coast. Then the owner decided to go film with some of his french friends in France and after they all came back to Whislter to finish there ski season and movie segments. Back in Québec, MLP worked really hard to offer a new product of a greater quality than the past projects. Now the company is pushing to offer a product that will be more entertaining with the best quality possible to please even more it's client, pushing it's limit to a greater horizon.
